annoyed w/ 6mp, I think

Some of you may have read my post about wondering if 6mp and was causing my sores. Went to the doctor and apparently the sore on my mouth is a side effect of the 6mp—prescription cream prescribed. He looked at the others and was worried about a staph infection, MRSA, specifically (because that's all I need right now) so he swabbed the ooze coming out of it and prescribed a different prescription cream for the ulcer. Test results came back yesterday and while it wasn't MRSA, it was an infection so now I'm on the antibiotic Keflex for 7 days. (This is in addition to the 34-week taper of the antibiotic Vancomycin I'm on for the c-diff.) I also have a cold.

6mp is an immunnosuppressant, right? I feel like it's helping my proctitis (almost too much ... I go the tiniest amount, although the urge is terrible and then every 3rd of 4th day I go a lot) but I have all these sores now (mouth, tongue, abdomen, leg) and lately I feel like I get these week-long colds at the drop of a hat. I mean, I know it's tis the season and my daughter is now back in preschool bringing home all sorts of new fun germs but argh! I'm up to 17 pills a day + 2 prescription creams + my enema at night.

Half the time I wonder if my "feeling generally bad (tired, headaches, etc.)" isn't just because of the infection(s) I'm fighting + the proctitis but side effects from all this medicine I'm taking!

Clearly I just need to vent. Thank you for listening. :)

Oy vey! Hang in there. Maybe add as many natural immmune BOOSTERS as possible to combat the downside of infections,colds,med side effx etc. Feel better :)

Thanks, all. Sherry, my last blood test indicated an elevated level pertaining to my liver (?) but not enough for my GI doc to be worried or take me off the medicine ... and not enough to do a sooner blood test (I'm now doing them once/month).
