I posted a question a while ago about
juicing. Although it was primarily directed towards detoxing, I plan to do a juicing reboot, as it is called, in a documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead by Joe Cross. I am not going to go the way he goes i.e 60 days of veggie juicing, instead, I am going to test the 'water' and see what troubles me and what doesn't. I am pretty sure, although my GI is a nice, sweet lady, she is not going to let me do this if I ask her. So I am all by myself.
Last week, I started juicing mainly Gala apple, pineapple, cucumber, celery, red cabbage, carrots, ginger and lime. One week, almost 20oz juice daily morning before breakfast. All went well, except little constipation, Colace sorted out the problem. From today, Broccoli will be added to above cocktail. So for next 4 months, I plan to test all veggies (including Kale) and their effect on my system. Whatever upsets my tummy gets striked off. Then after that testing period, I plan to do a 60-days fast on juice.
I am starting this thread to get an info, if anyone has done such thing and what the results are. And I could post updates. If anyone wants updates, you can PM me and I will respond or update the thread.
P.S. - The guys in the documentary also have autoimmune disease, Urticaria or sth similar and were on Pred and other drugs, 60 days fast and one was down to 3mg of Pred (from 15mg), other guy was toooo big so it took him 6 months to so. If you get a chance, do watch it.
