Family member threw my Humira pens away

My mother in law threatened my life after I told her she needs to leave my house.

While she was packing her stuff she got a hold of my 2 Humira pens which were in the fridge and she threw them out. I don't have insurance at this moment to replace it.

What can I do?

Call the police and tell them about the threat on your life. Maybe they can charge her with unlawful destruction of property.

Most pharmaceutical companies have a program to help people without insurance pay for meds. I found this on the Humira website:

If you cannot afford your medication, contact: www.pparx.org or call the toll-free phone number (1-888-4PPA-NOW) for assistance.

Good luck. And do call the police. It will document what happened if you ever need to get a restraining order against her.

Do you still have the pens? Call Humira and tell them what happened. Just say it was an accident or you had a power failure and the medication is ruined. They may replace for free.

The cost of those Humira pens and the purposeful destruction of them would likely warrant a felony in most states. I agree, call police. I also agree with the other poster that you should call the folks at Humira directly and explain the situation. They may require a police report to verify the situation but once verified they may have a program in place to hel you replace them. Good luck.....

That's awful and absurd. I am really sorry your MIL is such a lunatic. I agree about possibly calling the police but, yes, as some said, Humira has a PAP program.
