So i have had two infusions of remicade at 5mg/kg and my UC is under control but my psoriasis is not. After my first infusion the psoriasis went away in a few days and eventually came back as I got closer to my 2nd infusion. Now it is almost two weeks since the 2nd infusion and my psoriasis is still pretty active and seems to be spreading. It was always limited to my scalp but now I am finding small little flares all over.

Could this be considered an adverse reaction? Does anyone have experience with this?

Remicade has been known to actually make psoriasis worse. I know it has for me. I usually have it on my forehead, down the sides of my face(near the ears) and around my ears. I originally had it controlled when I started on 6mp for my UC, then I started on Remicade and it came back around by ears and on the right side of my face. It's not as bad as before though and I keep it controlled with tea tree oil or prescription Elidel.

Are these first two infusions spaced apart by 2 weeks?  That's how mine started, then every 8 weeks.  Maybe if Remicade is causing the reaction, it will get better when you go to 8 weeks?  Mary

My infusions have been 8 weeks apart. So I know I am as far apart as I can go. I am going to a dermatologist soon so hopefully I will get some answers.
