Cfromutah said it has alot of magnesium and beta carotene. You should try to read his post because it's really interesting. He says you should eat the canned spinach and the sunflower kernels, not the shelled ones. It really did work for me though. I just happend to find it from searching for home remedies for colitis, that's when I saw something about the spinach and sunflower diet. I wish he would come back on here to talk some more, but he did have various posts on here about it.
