Lialda actually making my D worse?

I get so confused at what is causing what...but we recently upped my dose up lialda, was on that higher dose for 2 weeks...no question I was worse, not bleeding, but the D, lomotil wasn't touching it, even 2 tablets at a time. Cut it back, I'm not as bad. I have done well on lialda for quite some time, could it be what is causing my issue or it is something else that I'm just not pin pointing? So often I swear I know what my issue is, then I realize something completely different is actually causing it.

I'd say moderate...but the D is bad, I've had D so long it is my normal, 8-9 times a day is average now, accidents not unusual.

I've been on Lialda for over 4 years. When I take the max dose I seem to have looser stool but I don't have anywhere near the amount of movements you are having. Since you seem to do better on the lower dose I don't think it would hurt to see what happens if you don't take any for a day or two. People who have become intolerant to it see a change pretty quickly.

Your choice...it's difficult being in a situation as you are if the 5ASA meds cannot be used. But if you can't use them, you can't use them.

You could try steroid rectal meds??
