I haven't posted here in quite some time, but seeing this thread is very encouraging for me.
I was here a few years ago when Colby (cfromutah) first made his discovery of the SF&S diet and posted it here. I tried it multiple times with good, quick results. Each time I reached remission it would only last 2 months at the most. Unfortunately, each time I managed to flare again because I really like to drink beer and/or would stray too far off the diet. I found that wheat beer could send me into a flare overnight. Afterwards, I would struggle to reach remission again.
I haven't been in remission since 2011 and have tried the diet multiple times since then but I wasn't dedicated enough. I stopped drinking beer/alcohol over a month ago and have been trying to load up on the seeds, sf butter, and spinach. I keep trying to think of new, easy ways to get my daily intake of sf seeds and spinach. I've been making smoothies with about
4oz organic frozen chopped spinach, banana, avacado, 2 big spoonfuls of sf seed butter, and water. It's bearable, and it's certainly better than eating that much spinach with a meal. However, it's probably not enough. My sister has a really good juicer and I may try juicing fresh raw spinach so I can easily consume high concentrations of it. I've been pretty good about
what I eat lately so I really hope to see some results soon.
