ok,well I took it for 4 days, and i already have a glimpse of what's to come, by the end of 5 weeks of this, i will not be going on vacation cause my bf will have cancelled it, my Relationship will be rocky and my kids wont know what happened!

a fly passes by me and I could kill everyone.

ridiculous,.

im not continuing this, its not Worth it.

so maybe the cortenema and the upped dose of imuran will do the trick !

Your ignoring the upside. I got an enormous amount of things done at the new house ( rebuilt playarea, planted 5 topiari evergreens, painted, cleaned ) and at work I did 3 months work in 1 month and got a pay raise.

I will miss the 'good' part of prednisone, now back to getting the rid of the belly fat from it.

Prednisone sucks....I don't blame you. I have all kinds of lingering effects from that crap all these years after taking it. Run away....run far, far away!

I was no fan of moderate and higher dose pred but I will say this: I tolerated it much, much better than any other IBD drug. When I flared and upped my dose I'd hate it at first but I'd acclimitize fast. below 10 mg I never notuced any sude effects at all- even my moon face was virtually all gone by 10 mg.

I started to taper back at the end of May/start of June and then I had a relapse... It didn't really do much for me, but the doc bumped it back up to be safe I guess...

Finally starting to taper off again and I couldn't be more excited. It's going to take a month or two to get it all out of there, but I look forward to the day I'm Pred-free. I never really noticed the side effects initally, but now that I've been on the Pred so long, they're starting to catch up to me a lot... moon face, strange aches and pains, crazy sweats...

I had to see a shrink to get my emotional insanity under control while tapering off pred. It may not be a bad idea if you're feeling crazy. I hate to say it but if you're in a severe enough flare that pred is warranted, I doubt enemas will magically put things into remission. You never know and I hope it does work for you but wouldn't the GI have recommended that in the first place instead of pred if s/he thought it was a potential option? Hopefully you're starting to see results with Imuran and you can pull through with the enemas. have you have your Imuran levels checked lately? Are you in the therapeutic range?
