Lower end flareup??

My symptoms are practically constipation with blood coming out and pellet like stools..does this sound like I need rectal meds???? Last week I had diareah...now things have changed ...

Absolutely use them now Krissy....your symptoms are dependent on where the inflammation is limited or extended.

if you're having some diarrhea and now constipation, I'm assuming you're in a very mild flare and limited to the rectum...although possibly most or all of the rectum.

Your hormones will give you some symptoms, but the enemas will help keep your UC symptoms in check.

The nozzle is only 3 inches long and you're not going to be touching anywhere near the baby. Stay on your left side...or with your butt in the air.

Use a lubricant on the nozzle so that it'll slide in easily.

I used cortifoam while pregnant with my son 20 yrs ago with no issues (and my son didn't turn out any worse than my daughter did with whom I wasn't sick with yet lol)

I would get on the rectals as soon as you can. Def sounds like lower inflammation. I get the same thing and it ultimately gets worse.  Eventually I'm on the toilet 20x a day passing small amounts of blood and stool. 

Krissy, there is not one single piece of information out there, other than what your GI told you, that an enema will make you miscarry. Seriously.

But what CAN make you miscarry, or go into preterm labor, is a flare.

many who have listened to me and others who KNOW that the enemas can help.

they won't cause a miscarriage....
There are other things that can cause miscarriage, and that's a risk that every woman who's pregnant will take....but the enemas won't cause them.

Did you not use them through your other pregnancy?

Rowasa enemas were the only medication I took while pregnant. Absolutely 100% safe. Seriously.

The small pieces and bold probably means that there are ulceration a in your rectum or sigmoid colon that are constantly dripping blood and mucous. Small amounts of this "stuff" will build up and put pressure on your rectum to go often, even though it's smaller than a regular bowel movement.

I flared from 5 weeks pg until a month after delivery. Baby was perfect. In fact he's 4 now and sitting next to me right now. :)
