I just started Remi 2 days ago. So far, so good! Oddly, the past 2 nights, I've had the most vivid , scary nightmares ever. Maybe it's just coincidence, but I thought I'd put this out there to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience?

I've been on Remi for almost 4 years, but I've never had this issue. Anyone else?

Have you been eating foods you usually would avoid?
I can get nightmares when I've eaten something I don't usually eat, especially something spicy. Weird.

retnoremv, i just started remicade and i have been having crazy nightmares.. so vivid and real i couldn't even wake my self up..
freaking scary..

No nightmares from Remi that I am aware of. Just my normal reoccurring nightmares of clowns, nooo clowns, ahh (kidding)!

My nightmares happen when I'm awake lol!!! I've recently started Humira and have not experienced any issues with my sleep or dreams, could be a coincidence but it wouldn't hurt to mention it to your doc...everyone reacts to things differently and if it is the Remicade, you might not be the only person experiencing this so definitely let your doc know.

I never saw a relationship between the two, might just be coincidence. Although, when I wear earplugs to bed (when I sleep during the day after night shift) I always get very odd, often dark, "dreams".

I've never heard of a connection. However, if you're nervous or uneasy about taking Remicade or any other treatment, that could certainly contribute to nightmares.

I know this post is super old, but if you're still around, did this persist? I've been having extremely vivid strange dreams for the past week or two on a nightly basis. Some are scary but not all. I wake up feeling pretty tired because I feel like I've been dreaming all night long. This happened to me when I took Wellbutrin last winter as well but that stopped when I stopped taking it. It was so tiring with the Wellbutrin that I stopped taking it. It's probably just a coincidence, but I've been trying to figure out why I am suddenly having this crazy dreaming issue again.

I didn't remember this happening to me, but I see I posted that it did for at least my first week or two on Remicade several years ago. It must not have continued for me or else I think I would remember it. I was not on Remicade more than a few months though because it stopped working for me pretty quickly.

I had very bad nightmares that felt so real when I first started Inflectra which is the biologic of Remicade. I tried to find information on this being a side effect and found nothing so I thought it was coincidence.
Still unsure if they’re connected. I’ve been on Inflectra about 2 years now and no longer have the vivid nightmares.

My nightmare has grown to getting up 3x a night to hopefully make it to the bathroom 20 feet away on time.....most of the time yes abut there has been a few times no. Those are the worst nightmares. Diapers are a must these days.

I hope they stop for you as well. Vivid nightmares can really disrupt your sleep and have serious affects on your waking life as well. I struggle with them on a regular basis but not the super vivid, intense ones all the time that I've had from some meds.
