Cool. What does sodium butyrate help with exactly again? I bought some a few months ago but haven't opened it yet. Is it the same as Clostridium butyricum - Miyarisan Tablets from Japan?

I also have 'poop pills' for a fecal transplant which I would like to do soon (had half my gut flora wiped out a few months ago ... now only 1 bowel movement per day even with different kinds of probiotics which helped only for a while).

I have a colostomy bag I'm up for reversal surgery if I can get my rectal inflammation under control. After about a month of usage the hydrocortisone enemas seemed to be doing the trick. But this last week my surgeon suggested the Sodium Butyrate enemas and all my symptoms came back so now I'm panicking. Is it normal to see the blood and mucus in the beginning of using the med because i felt much better just doing the hydrocortisone. Also are their any supplements that work well with the enemas and the inflammation?

Hey Palacedan (and other nyc people) is there a way you could private message or email me your gi's name and location? Having issues with my current gi...long story for another time. Their location is also not convinient to me...been having trouble finding someone else. Lmk! Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! I'm in FL. Where do I get butyrate suppositories? From my GI or do I have to have them made with a prescription? Are they combined with canasa or just butyrate alone? Is PalaceDan still a member. I have almost the exact type of proctitis. Such a small part of the body giving me a problem. I hate it!!
