she just wanted me to let you know that the surgery was a success and she's recovering. kevin, her husband, said the surgeon told him her colon was severely inflamed.
she's still pretty out of it but just thought i'd give an update.

Hey that's great to hear re: the success and recovering, not the colon condition.

I've been away from the boards for a while, but I came back just to search the posts to see if there was any word on her surgery. So glad to hear it went well. Sending good thoughts for a speedy recovery.

We all don't want to have the surgery but from the stories I've read, this may be a very good thing for you! Speedy recovery and come back to tell us the details when you are able. Best wishes!

Another update.
Pain pump meds being lessened and orals slightly up.
peeling is back to what it should be. No more threat of catheter.
Went from NPO to full liquids in one day.
BEEFERS my stoma is very active and working well!
And adorable! Yesssss!
Having some increased pain after eating and a long walk. Hoping to sleep, eat, walk for the next two days straight and doctor mentioned getting out of here this WEEKEND!! Wahoo!
I would be so thrilled to be out Sunday instead of Monday.
but not too darn early.
Okay sleep now.
xoxo.
Ill post soon with updated pix on home page website.
