My GI's office is a beautiful, modern facility. You enter into a large, dual waiting room with comfy chairs, TVs, and WiFi. Off one side of the waiting room is the regular office, with the exam rooms and Remicade suite. Off the other are procedure and recovery areas. You'd think there would be restrooms off the waiting rooms, but you'd be wrong.
I had my first Remicade infusion on Thursday, and I asked to use the restroom before I was hooked up to the IV. As far as I can tell, there is only a single restroom on the office side of the facility, which is not located convenient to the Remicade suite or the exam rooms. Not only that, but it appears to be the employee restroom - there were toothbrushes and little bathroom bags lined up on the counter, coats and bags hung on the wall, etc.
It's a really weird setup.
