Please know that I'm not arguing....just presenting my perspective as you are.
I never mentioned antibacterial soaps...but it's so true about cautioning. That issue's been warned about since the 80s with superbugs. They still put them in public washrooms, however. I'm sensitive to lots of soaps anyway, so don't know if it's fragrance only or maybe antibacterial as well.
I never use the blowers to dry.
Handwashing in the straight forward sense is what I'm meaning.
Food specific can be outgrown to a limit.....meaning controlled or diminished. This is a fine line...and one should never believe it'll never happen again.
I don't believe asthma is cured either....but control regarding intrinsic (colds/viruses/respiratory infections/food allergies) will certainly lessen the likelihood of continual inflammation and worsening symptoms during those times. Recovery is possible.
Again that fine line to tip the scales.
Tendency is tendency...
There are also respiratory issues that can mimic asthma....it's a term seems used as is "colitis".
Thanks for the info, however.....the fight will be a forever one as long as people are people and disease continues and morphs.
Probiotics (although not all types agree with everyone) are a good thing...
be well,

I understand your viewpoint... and it is one that I shared for quite some time, but I think the paradigm is slowly changing to accommodate the role of gut bacteria in all of this. I believe antibiotic use (as well as lack of flora from upbringing and environment) is a major contributor to allergies and autoimmunity in children.
For example, I didn't know what joint pain felt like prior to antibiotics and now there is some suspicion that fluoroquinolones are connected to fibromyalgia. There are recent scientific articles hinting the connection to rheumatoid arthritis and poor gut flora, as a moderate percentage of IBDers suffer from joint pain as well.
It's an emerging field and one that the medical profession is slowly beginning to acknowledge. The only thing is that it is so individual that figuring out which strains people are missing literally a shot in the dark. I think this will only improve now that we understand the
whys of it. Despite all the poor pharmaceutical treatments, I see tremendous hope for people with any disease if this component is addressed.
Take care.
