What's diaper cream? Is that like calmoseptine? I have tucks, prep h, calmoseptine, and A&D, lol. I have all the butt creams. I also have steroid supps but it's on the outside edge, that suppositories won't help there, will they?

I have had luck with suppositories for external hemmies, but I like ointment as well, much more than the cream, even though it smells worse!

Tucks feels more astringent to me than Prep H even though they're both supposed to contain 50% witch hazel. But I'm wondering if Tucks Take-alongs have gone out of production (?) The chain drugs near me don't have them on shelves in recent months. / Old Hat (34 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

Yup, just what I've been doing-- but the Tucks Take-alongs are better. / Old Hat (34 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I learned this after having babies...
Wipe with the tucks. Then use a maxi pad and use some cream...enough so it stays in contact with the hemmie. The pad will help with messiness. Works wonders.

I go to my general surgeon and have him numb then make a small incision in the hemmie and squeeze the clot out. Instant relief :)
