So I saw my doctor yesterday, and told him all my symptoms of feeling like I have to go to bathroom even after I already did, feeling constipated but stool is soft and thin, and blood when I push. He is not convinced I am flaring, thinks its more ibs. I disagree as I think sometimes I don't express myself well when I explain the symptoms. Anyway, I asked to him if I could try Lailda and he actually had to leave the room to look up the medicine, although it seemed he heard of it he was not sure how to prescribe it. I thought this is strange shouldn't he know about these things. He told me he was going to prescribe 2 pills a day to be taken both in the am after food. I said isn't 4 pills the active colitis dosage and he said he wanted to try 2 pills at first as they are concentrated so I would get more medicine. Not sure if he understands that they are time released by that statement anyway I think maybe its time to look for new doctor, doesn't seem to be up to date on medicines.
So am I wrong to think that if I am actively flaring I should be put on 4 pills of Lailda and then lower from there.
Thanks everyone.
