Dark stool

So I haven't written in a while because we're still waiting to see if the Humira is going to work for me (I started it a little over a month ago).

I was at the Dr last week and he ran through a list of things asking me if I had them, and one of them was dark stools. I said no, which was true. A few days later, that's what I started having!

It has happened for about 3-4 days. It is by no means black, just noticeably darker than usual. I can't really think of anything I've been eating that would cause it. Should I be worried?

Have you eaten any dark chocolate or spinach in the past week? Stools might change to different colors depending on the kinds of foods you eat.

Hmm, well I stopped taking iron a while back, but I'm not sure if there's something I've been eating more of lately that has a lot of iron in it. Nope, no spinach or dark chocolate. Maybe Oreos? Lol. It's still dark today.

What colour were your stools before that?

Oh okay, never heard of that. Before, they were lighter brown, almost orange-ish. Back before I had UC, dark stools were normal (and they were obviously much more solid). So it's weird for me to see dark stools that are loose.

Okay, I can try that. My vitamin is the same as always. My bms have been consistently dark lately. My last scope was in January.

Ehh...they haven't even slowed down that much. I mean, they certainly have from when I was really sick, but in the last 2 months or so, I haven't seen much improvement. I still go anywhere from 2-5 times a day. And yeah, it's soft/loose most of the time.
