I completed the three loading doses of entyvio. Happy to report UC symptoms have quieted down. Tapering prednisone gradually (now under 10mg).
After the third infusion, about
a month ago, I developed a rash on my back (very itchy) and red spots on my legs (a little itchy). Hasn't gotten better or worse, since then. Just uncomfortable. It doesn't look like hives that i've had in allergic reactions. Benadryl and Zyrtec don't make it better.
Just wondering if anyone else developed itchy skin or similar things after a few infusions? (I'm sure there's info on Entyvio Warriors, but I don't use Facebook....)

I noticed a random itchy spot on my upper right thigh that then turned into what looked like I got stabbed by a hundred needles (mini bruises if you will). But only happened that once. Many people have said they have gotten hives and rashes on the entyvio Warriors site, and it is listed as one of the common side effects. Let me ask you, have you noticed your weight changing? I've been on prednisone since March and never got the dreaded moon face or weight gain UNTIL I completely my third loading dose...since then I've BLOWN UP! I'm currently at 10mg of pred (Doing a VERY slow taper), and have my 4th dose of entyvio on the 22nd.

Interesting. Mine were like big welts, also tiny little red dots. So odd to see different patterns. When i've had hives, it all looks the same.
Yes, definitely weight gain after third infusion. I had lost a lot of weight due to the flare. Didn't gain any back while on prednisone (been on it since July and still tapering, like you very slowly, 1 mg at a time). Then all of a sudden after third infusion, lots of weight gain - first 5 lbs and then another 5 lbs! What's next i wonder...
I'd appreciate if you shared what you've learned from the Warriors site, and what you've experienced.

Skin side effects are a common extraintestinal side effect of uc, as it's an autoimmune disorder as are a number of skin disorders. Sometimes medications are the cause of skin rashes (usually manifest as an over the entire body allergic reaction rash).
