Dx Jun 2014 with mild proctitis via scope (some bleeding and mucus)
Dx Jan 2015 with severe proctitis and IBS via scope (bleeding, mucus, pain)
Now it's been 2 years, even though I'm always on Pentasa suppositories I can't get into remission, in fact my symptoms seem to have worsened a bit. Urgency, feeling like I still have more, formed stool with watery poo and always bleeding. It's a rare thing for me not to bleed.
This week I've ran out of suppositories and decided to see what would happen... today's it's, 5.30, I've had 6 running trips to the bathroom, mostly just to spray blood everywhere, last trip I didn't make it and it looked like a period in my underwear (sorry if that's tmi, but I'm sure I'm safe in this forum lol)
Surely after all this time, I should be seeing some relief. I know proctitis is hard to defeat but do yous think that maybe I need to try new medication? Do yous think I may need more than a suppository?
And also to all the experts, when i get my scopes, the diagnosis was Non-specific proctitis.... ??? what's that now
Cheers, hope you are all doing well.
