Patients with UC taking ENTYVIO showed significant improvement in their disease:
- 47% achieved clinical response at 6 weeks, compared with 26% who took a placebo
- 42% maintained clinical remission at 1 year, compared with 16% who took a placebo
- 41% improved how their intestinal lining looked to their healthcare provider at 6 weeks, compared with 25% who took a placebo
- 52% improved how their intestinal lining looked to their healthcare provider at 1 year, compared with 20% who took a placebo
- Over twice as many reached steroid-free remission at 1 year versus those who took a placebo
Patients with CD taking ENTYVIO showed significant improvement in their disease:
- 15% achieved clinical remission at 6 weeks, compared with 7% who took a placebo
- 39% achieved clinical remission at 1 year, compared with 22% who took a placebo
- Twice as many reached steroid-free remission at 1 year versus those who took a placebo
I tried it without any improvement. I also notice a lot of people have very different opinions on what is improvement. For me, if I need a diaper or I am having urgency/frequency, I do not consider that a good enough QOL to stop seeking other treatments. It's difficult because it's very subjective.
It's always interesting to me that such a large % of people on placebos do so well.
You also have to consider that the drug manufacturer will do anything within their power to tilt the results to get approval. I am sure these results are skewed in their favor.
