My picks are going to be different than what other people may post.
Glycine in addition to collagen/gelatin. We are short metabolically about
10 grams of glycine a day.
That is if the people who made the calculations are correct,needed for collagen in colon,plus many
other metabolic pathways. With UC we might even need much more.
Astaxanthin,besides being a strong antioxidant will increase capillary blood flow, ischemia may have
something to do with UC. 4mg a day may be enough will bio accumulate, also does not act as a pro oxidant
Old threads indicate that astaxanthin did not do much for people, with UC here, but still might be worthwhile
Whey protein, amino acids to make more mucus.
Apigenin, from wheat grass or parsley, antioxidant, some immune modulation.
They did a human wheat grass trial a number of years ago, gave some improvement.
There are of course a many others such as protease inhibitors from soybeans.
