You should try the antidepressant for sure. It changed my entire situation. I think they can give either Pristiq or Effexor - there may be others, but those are the ones I remember. I opted for Pristiq because they had a copay card that brought down the cost significantly. I only get a few migraines a month, but they last full days and sometimes it's almost a full week of a month if you add it up.

I appreciate the help because I get gastro intestinal bleeding, which means I can't take ANYTHING that has NSAIDS in it. And I am trying to get medications refilled but my Dr is telling me that we need to put me on a medication that's safe long term, and since NSAIDS put me in jeopardy-that really limits our options.
So a huge thank you to those who have answered me and given me other prescription options.

I wouldn't even know where to get those items. Do they sell them at Walmart or Target???

I just take Advil or Ibprofin. How bad can it be?
