Who's built up antibodies to Remicade, and who hasn't? Were/ are you on an immunomodulator?

Who here has built up antibodies to Remicade? Who here HASN'T built up antibodies to Remicade? Were/ are you on an immunomodulator?

Just curious to see if anyone here has personal experience with this, because I get my first Remicade infusion this week and want to give myself the best shot possible. My doc hasn't mentioned immunomodulators as a boon to Remicade, but should I ask him about it?

I'm also fairly scared of immunomodulators...My Mom is on Methotrexate for Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it makes her hair fall out.

I started remicade when I'd been on 6mp for about 6 months. I did stop 6mp for 6 months in early 2016, aND restatted durine the summer. No antibodies to remicade.

The antibodies to remicade question is an interesting one. Some get antibodies despite following best practices. Others don't get antibodies despite not be in on immunomodulators. Generally they say to be on both simultaneously, best recommendation.

I was a nonresponder - so I don't know if I had antibodies, but it just didn't work for me. I had really bad joint pain, a positive ana and then I got a deathly infection.

i've been on remicade for 3-4 years now and I am also on Azathioprine and allopurinol. no antibodies but righty now we are finding a hard time getting the right dosage of meds. either my platelets are going down and my white bloodcell count is going down or the meds are too toxic for my liver.

I was on Imuran the first 6 months of being on remicade.

Well it's a weight-dosed drug, so it might be hard to directly compare us. I'm at 70 kilograms and dosed at 75 mgs of 6MP a day, which is the low range of the dosing scale (1.0 to 1.5 mgs per kilogram). No antibodies.
