I found that using activated charcoal along with psyllium husk helps greatly with having excessive with gas. Also I have found that taking both before or after a meal works best for me. I also am on medication for depression, mood disorder as well as anxiety. I make sure I leave a 3 hour window after consuming before taking my medication so it doesn't interfere with absorption. I take psyllium powder husk form instead of a capsule. I mix it with 8oz. fluid, usually a little splash of juice with the rest being water. The taste is not bad, but it will congeal quite fast. I whisk with a fork very quickly and suck the mixture down with a straw. It's important to drink another glass of water since it says on the directions that it can be a choking hazard. I have also found this has helped with my menstrual cycle, making it less painful and heavy. Hope this insight helps someone.
