Hello, boobear,
If you are currently flaring, maybe google "low residue diet" and pick from that?
My doctor advised me to avoid dairy, red meats & raw veggies ....however there have been folks here who sort of debunked her rationale for a more "personalized approach". It seems we are each different in many ways.
Even so, when I have bleeding.....I can say with 100% certainty that anything rough like raw carrots, peanuts or corn is the bane of my butts existence.
I cook all veggies WELL and eat from the softer side.....Chicken noodle soup is a standard. I am to the point at the moment where my symptoms are subsiding, but I am still being careful anyway.
I also disregarded the dairy suggestion my doc made and have added yogurt and kefir (and a little bit of hard cheese like sharp cheddar. I'm a rebel like that.....
If you scroll through a few pages, you'll see this is the top concern of most newly diagnosed forum members, so you are definitely not alone !
Good luck
