Infusions at home

My insurance is soon going to require me to get my remicade infusions at home rather than at the hospital. Does anyone get their infusions at home? Does it work well for you? Has anyone received them through a company called Option Care?

i had not. but company been around and home infusion a growing sector.

not much reason to do at hospital once allergic reaction is not a concern. ... as long as who they send is good at starting iv.

I start my home infusions next month! I spoke with the nursing manager and I'm amazed at the ease of scheduling and insurance processing compared to my infusions center. That's the only thing I can report at this point.

Insurance company wants me to do infusions at an outpatient infusion center or at home. Given my highly allergic profile, I wouldn't do it at home, & am searching for infusion center near hospital....
