Now A Rash! Can't Catch a Break.

The fun just never ends! Been flaring for almost two months. Started Uceris about 10 days ago with no side effects or issues. I'm now on vacation, was out in the sun for a couple hours yesterday and started noticing some blotchy red spots on my chest and legs last ngith. This morning I have a full on rash EVERYWHERE. It looks terrible. I have noticed its not on the places that were covered by my bathing suit.

I saw something on the Uceris instructions about sun sensitivity but I thought that meant you are more prone to getting sunburned quickly while taking it - not get a rash. Talked to the GI and she said it's rare for an allergic reaction to develop with Uceris but it's possibe. She also told me to stop taking it and that she could call in a prescription for pred, which I was trying very hard to avoid taking.

In the mean time, my insurance would cover any doc or urgent care visits while out of state so not sure what to do. Just took a Benadryl to see if that helps.

Does anyone have any experience with this one??? So much for going on vacation...

Darn that's awful. I agree on hitting it with an antihistamine, maybe claritin is better as it's nondrowsy.
