Funny you're posting this. My doctor just mentioned it the other day when I sought her out for anti-depressants.
The study found that the only anti-depressants that work very well are mirtazapine, tricyclics, citalopram (and its isomers) and a couple of other SSRIs, and an old class of MAOIs that are no longer prescribed. Everything else isn't much better than placebo.
From the study: "Escitalopram, mirtazapine, paroxetine, agomelatine, and sertraline had a relatively higher response and lower dropout rate than the other antidepressants"
