removal of endo lesions from colon

Hi ladies
New to this site and need to seek some advice. I have had endometriosis for 14 years and was just diagnosed with UC 5 months ago. No response to 5asa as I’m moderate to severe, and responding well to entyvio.

Long story short the surgeon removed extensive endo lesions from the outside of my colon 4 weeks ago and it hurts like heck when I have a BM. Thought it might be a flare but my BMs are quite regular and normal. Can’t take any pain meds which is ok for me, just wondering if this is normal or whether I should seek an appt with my surgeon. No blood or mucus in stool, no infection around surgical site, just ugly pain.

I had a large amount of Endo removed from my colon in 2 separate surgeries and didn’t experience much pain with bowel movements. If I am constipated Or have trapped gas do have some pretty steady pain. My surgeon thinks it’s scar tissue. She doesn’t want to go back in because the more surgeries, the more scar tissue. She suggested mirilax daily when I’m experiencing pain and it works!

But like Q asked, what’s the pain like?

The surgeries helped my uc immensely! I hope it does the same for you.

If it's only during a bm, it could be spasming. Antispasmodics might help.
