I'm looking for info because he's pretty much just accepted that this is how he's going to be and that he can't do anything about it. I can't do that. Not til I am satisfied that there is nothing else that can be done. I can't just sit and watch him suffer.
He said he's been tested for celiac, and that they did biopsies, and that was all fine.
The medical marijuana improves him by about 80% from what I've been seeing with him being off it for a week. He has a medical card, but employers don't care about that. He will be getting some CBD oil this week, at this point I'm just hoping it does something. He's sick enough right now that I don't see how he can go to work at all.
I'm just baffled as to why he's only on pain meds and an anti nausea meds that doesn't work. It just makes sense to me that a condition that causes severe inflammation wouldn call for a stronger medication than ibuprofen. Is this normal?
I'm sorry, but if your story is accurate it seems like literally nothing has been done to actually treat his UC. He needs to be on meds, no diet modifications or pot smoking will treat this if he has been throwing up and having bloody diarrhea for 8 years.
When was the last time he had a colonoscopy?
It seems like he is in denial, and I think he needs to face the facts that this needs to be treated or otherwise he might be heading towards cancer or removal of his colon. Been there done that.
