It could be an infection of some sort - either a virus, in which case it will go away on its own soon; or bacterial, in which case you might need antibiotics; or a parasite.
If you can, find a health center where you can get a stool test done to test for infections (bacteria and parasites).
As for self care, the most important thing is to stay hydrated. Drink small amounts of water frequently. Soup broth is good too. Or pedialyte or a little gatorade. Or popsicles if it is hot outside. Eat bland foods if you eat - applesauce, bananas, plain crackers, rice, noodles, etc.
Signs of dehydration include dry mouth, dry eyes, weakness, faintness, dry skin, no sweating, no tears. If you get dehyrated, go to a health center and get an IV.
