Today I learned (TIL) there is something called SCAD
I was reading a little bit about
it and it sounds like your doctors are following it pretty much by the book.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/pmc5411375/ Do you know if you are absent inflammation or is it still present (any recent endoscopy or Calprotectin Stool test, or CRP blood test)? That would mostly pave the path forward, if you are still inflamed then I would ask for stronger dosages of meds. You say no urgency, but your rectum is spared so that doesn't mean there's zero inflammation.
It does mention higher dosages of asacol/mesalamine/mesalazine in oral format being given, something I would pursue. It says 2.4g to 3.2g a day. Ask about
that.
I cannot see why mesalamine enemas would not be used, it is sigmoid colon inflammation and enemas are great in treating it.
