I just started on Remicade (still loading -- my third infusion is scheduled for 10/4), and I definitely see improvement in terms of frequency and urgency, but I'm wondering whether you have ever had a full remission, by which I mean formed stools and no accidents? I just had an accident and I hate that so much. I know I was reacting to the lunch I ate, but I thought I was past that, at least to some extent.
My signature is way out of date but I'm including it for historical accuracy ;-)

Moderators, feel free to delete this post -- OneDayAtATime99's post answers many of my questions, even though it's a different drug.

It's a very good sign that you are already seeing a response after just 2 infusions. It's still very early for you so try to be patient. Once you are in remission you should be completely normal unless you develop IBS. I think that's pretty rare though.
I started on remi in March. Had some response but after 5 months I still had too many symptoms so my doc increased my dosage. It's been 5 weeks since my first increased dosage and I finally feel like I am getting close to remission.
~fingers crossed for both of us~

Ditto a good sign, hang in there remission takes a while. Took me a full year to achieve a remission on remicade after a severe proctosigmoiditis flare. I had slow and steady improvements over a series of months.

I've had my first 3 starter doses and am in remission. I got off prednisone a little bit before the 3rd dose and no symptoms came back. It's hard to know if it's actually the Remicade working with 100% certainty, but I wasn't able to get off of prednisone without symptoms coming back before I started the Remicade, so it's probably working.

If that was meant for me, thank you!
Good luck, janey!
