I have been on Entyvio for 8 months now. The last FCP I took in December showed below 25 but every two months the doc checks my CRP and it keeps climbing. Now it is above 5. I would say I have mild symptoms with somewhat formed stools and 2 bowel movements per day.

Has Entyvio stopped working? CRP was actually lower when I started Entyvio but FCP was 200.

It's possible you might need Entyvio more frequently. You could ask for an entyvio blood concentration and antibody test to really see what's going on. They're given just before your next infusion.

Possible you could just reintroduce mesalamine enemas to regain a remission, and/or lialda again (if you've ceased it).

I am still on 4 Lialda per day. They ran Entyvio blood levels last time and it showed 16 and doc said that was decent.

I have another doctor appointment in 4 weeks. You think it is safe to wait or should I call and get more urgent appointment?

From my experience: I’d say by 8 months I was in a good symptomatic remission. It’s been a while now so I don’t recall exactly the timeline but I do recall that I was having no symptoms but a colonoscopy at that time showed some active disease at the microscopic level. So sounds like you could be having some lingering inflammation with mild symptoms. I just had infusion #21 yesterday and there are days here and there where I feel some symptoms. Are you using any rectals? If not that’s what I would add first.

Would you say your symptomatic progression has been linear or do you feel you’re backsliding?

Ok, I will add rectals.

I would say my symptoms are only slightly worse than they were a few months ago. I am having a bit more abdominal cramping (mild) and now have 2 bowel movements per day rather than 1. But some days I feel great and have one super formed bowel movement so it jumps around a bit.

See if the rectals put those lingering symptoms to rest!

Moved my doctor appointment up and saw her yesterday. She wants to move me to every 4 week entyvio injections from 8. Waiting to see if insurance will approve.

I have very minor symptoms (though I am worse than a couple months ago) and with my CRP above 5 and climbing every 2 months when we check it, I'm hoping this will get things back in line.

Got insurance approval for 4 week Entyvio dosing last week. Next infusion scheduled for tomorrow which will be 5.5 weeks from last one. I notice that I really start to go downhill in week 7 and it takes a couple of weeks after the infusion to bounce back. So hopefully this shorter interval works.

Has anyone else moved from 8 weeks to 4 weeks on Entyvio and found success?
