Humira or Stelara?

Evidently my insurance won’t approve Xeljanz so I have to try Humira and stelara first before they approve Xeljanz.
Any suggestions or comments with either would be greatly appreciated.

Tried Remicade and Entyvio and had side effects with both that lead me to changing meds. Thanks. Currently no issues or flares.

If you had side effects from Remicade then you might side effects from Humira (same mechanism).

I’d try Stelara. I’ve been on it for years and it’s been great so far.

Is stelara IV infusion or self injections?

It's one infusion, followed by injections every 8 weeks. The Humira injections were super easy and did not hurt me at all. I would do Stelara if I were you.

I tried Entyvio and Remicade. I didn’t respond to Entyvio and I had an anaphylactic reaction on my first maintenance dose with Remicade. I’m doing Stelara at the end of the month and would suggest the same for you. Since Humira/Simponi are both TNF’s they might give you side effects like the Remicade did.
