Hi Guys,
I have weaned off Uceris and will be starting prednisone soon. I have had severe headaches and I think its due to weaning off uceris anything that would help? Ive tried tylenol does not help.

Never heard of getting headaches from stopping Uceris

I had the most severe migraine of my life after stopping Uceris in January to see if Humira was working. I thought it was just a coincidence or a side effect from Humira, but I never really knew. It was horrible and scary. Lasted 3 days. I have a headache right now again too so I feel your pain. Hope your head feels better soon.

Wow I am still suffering with the headaches and definitely think it was the uceris!

If the headaches are from coming off Uceris then the prednisone will make them go away.

Prednisone can also cause headaches. If your headaches are continuing and are severe then you really should see your regular medical provider to determine if they are migraines or not. I’ve suffered from migraines for years and there are many medications to help knock them out. I used generic imitrex for years with no side effects. Now I’m taking a monthly shot to prevent migraines and that is working well.

I know it’s a tough time to visit a doctor but there’s no sense in undue suffering. Although some people use painkillers such as Vicodin or its ilk against headaches I could never recommend them after watching a close family member become addicted to them.
