Only white mucus , is it UC or bacterial infection.

Hey guys for the past 1+ year , I am having a UC flare . I am not having any pain or cramps . I am not having blood in stool. I have 3-4 motions a day. The only symptom of mine is white mucus that continuosly builds up in rectum . After very 5-6 hours , I build up nearly 1 spoon of mucus .( made a guess) I also have little urgency as sometimes when I try to pass gas this mucus comes in the way and for that reason I have to rush to the washroom so that it does not damages my clothes. I read online that more white coloured mucus can be a sign of bacterial infection . I feel the same. I have never been tested for any bacteria or so . Can you all guide me that is it UC or some bacterial infection that is giving me some UC-type symptoms?

You're flaring and mucus like that is normal when I'm flaring.
But if you're worried, request a stool sample kit.

Are you on probiotics?

Are you using rectal meds?

Mucus can be from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) as well. IBS patients have a lot of mucus with no Inflammation and no bacterial infection.

The inability to trust a fart sounds like Rectal Inflammation, to me. Rectal-route meds could be tried.
