I just realized my 2 year take-down anniversary was the 8th, a few days ago!
DH and I rented a small cabin on a lake in Maine for a week. We'd reserved it pre-pandemic! For months we figured we wouldn't be able to go because of COVID, but then things turned around. So, we drove from CT to Maine with 2 rest stops only. Brought snacks to eat in the car. Up there was fine, not much COVID around, though masks were required in stores. We brought most of our groceries, so other than one store and fetching some takeout, we didn't go into any commercial place. Saw our son; it had been Christmas since we'd seen him - he is lucky enough to still have a job and was needed for extra hours over these months.
We drove home on my 2 year take-down anniv. We do this trip every year, sometimes several times. This was the least traffic we'd ever seen on a summer Saturday. Massachusetts had signs up about needing a negative COVID test or doing quarantine. But driving straight through was no issue.
Hope you're all still doing well. Valli - gosh!! I am sorry for the issues. Champ - GF! Great! OH - always good to hear from you!
