Cramping/ burning stomach

I got an ileostomy about two years ago? I think? Lol. Anyways I was pretty active back then and then stopped visiting because I felt SO much better. It turned out I actually had crohns not UC (I’m on stelara every 4 weeks now) I know this is for UC but I never get replies in the crohns forum! I have been having this horrific cramping in the middle of my stomach that will burn when it’s empty which is almost always because I can barely eat. Anytime I try to eat I gag and have lost 12 pounds in two weeks. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what it might be? I’ve already contacted my doctor and she took me off MTX to see if it would help but the symptoms have not improved I know my stomach is probably burning because I am so hungry but can’t get myself to swallow anything!

I don’t know why I didn’t think of a peptic ulcer, I just moved 4000 miles away from home so I’ve been stressed to the max and that would make sense. I had a pill cam around January and showed crohns all throughout my small intestine so it could definitely be that too (I hope not though because I’m running out of meds to try) thank you for the advice noodles, I’ll ask about the PPI’s!
