Having inflammation for a few years

Is it dangerous to have inflammation for years? My UC is not under control at the moment and I have been flaring for over 4 years now

Only good thing is that I think I may have had a brief remission for a couple months or something like that last year - still was having some symptoms but no inflammation could be seen in the scope. the others have shown quite a lot of inflammation and I currently am going to the toilet well over 10 times a day with urgency

unfortunatelly i have also relative light inflaminarion on ny bovel... this is not good...but i know more patient whi have similar situation...imortant the how big your inflamination...

Having inflammation for years increases your colorectal cancer odds, and increases the odds of your UC spreading in extent or severity. Try different meds, try combining multiple classes of meds together, and if it's truly uncontrollable then consider a colorectal surgery.
