So my GI got back to me and gave me cortizone suppositories. Not sure if those will help as although my rectal area is where it hurts the most I am having an achy feeling in my abdominal area as well. So guess I will see how I feel next week. I could postpone my shot a few days but honestly if I'm still sick on the 24th I doubt a few days will make me feel any better. So hopefully I'm better before then or I may need to just postpone it a month or until I feel 100% back to normal with my gut. I do not get into any circumstance where I need to go back on prednisone after 10 years - not looking to go back down that road! I may ask for the cortisone enemas as the next step.

Yesterday only had 1 BM (not formed) but today now it's hurting a bit more again. Back and forth is usually how it seems to go if it flares.

Whoops I meant ever since May 7th! Sorry about that. Was looking for the Friday after the shot and looked at the wrong week

I already take 9 Colazal pills a day and a mesalamine enema each night so there is really no more I can add to my maintenance meds. This definitely isn't stress related as now I feel that achy feeling in my abdomen like it's bleeding and my rectal area constantly feels inflamed. Usually stress would have to be very significant (like when my each of my parents passed away) for me to feel this sick. So it definitely was the shot that did this to me. My guess is my immune system just won't calm back down after ramping up after the shot. I'm not sure what to do as I can imagine the 2nd shot on the 24th is only going to make me feel much worse. I contacted my GI but he's out of office till the 17th. Sometimes he replies even when he's out, depending on where is on on vacation. I hesitate to get on any sort of steroid to calm my immune system down as I hate those things and feel as though I'll just need it again after the 2nd shot.

The 2nd Moderna shot made me flare 10 days after I got it. I didn't think it would be from the shot but nothing else changed and my GI doctor said a handful of people are flaring up from the 2nd shot. He told me to "give it a few weeks." Two weeks later and I'm just getting worse.
