I have been taking Stelara injections every 8 weeks since Nov. of 2020 in conjunction with a low dose of 6mp. I am now off of the 6mp and doing great UC wise. However, when I went to have my annual female physical, my doctor noticed a spot on my arm and said that I needed it to be checked out by a dermatologist. The Dermatologist removed the spot and sent it to a lab. Yesterday, I got a call saying that I need to come back because they want to take more from the area to make sure they got it all since it tested as "pre-cancerous".

Today, I received word from gynecologists' office that they have found some possible cancer cells on my cervix.

Has anyone else had any sudden signs of cancer (skin or other) just months after taking Stelara?

I’m not on the same meds as you but I have had a similar experience this last year. I had to have some precancerous spots removed from my arm as well, but they got them all in the first go around. This runs in my family and my dermatologist said this was likely from exposure in my teens when I wasn’t as vigilant about sunblock usage. Now I see the dermatologist every six months.
I had a Pap come back with ASCUS but HPV negative in 2019 while I was on pred and Imuran and again in 2020. Had to have a colposcopy done in 2020 but everything was fine still showing ASCUS then but told “not to worry”. This year my pap was normal and my gynecologist feels the two funky years were because of steroids and getting older. It does mean I have to get annual Pap smears now. Hope someone on similar meds has some answers for you.

momto2boys, thank you for your response. All of this could likely be from the prednisone use a few years back catching up with me. I too was not very vigilant about sunscreen in my youth. I grew up in the baby oil and iodine era! I'll just keep the faith the they will get it all this go around.
