Xeljanz starting dose (10mg x 2vs 5mg x 2)

did anyone start with 5mg twice per day of Xeljanz instead of 10mg twice per day? Or does everyone with UC start with 10mg no matter what and then potentially taper down to 5 later? Thanks!

Hi,
I was in a hideous almost year long flare after about 16 years of relative calm (some small flares), this one brought on by awful antibiotic.

Nothing controlled it til Xejanz 10 twice a day, I don't think I'd dream of trying to taper. Totally personal experience, but I was weeks away from surgery. As always, the key is to stay ahead of the symptoms and not let them get ahead of you, it is 1000x worse to try and "catch up".

You're supposed to start with 10 twice a day. Dont you want to give it the best chance at working for you? I don't even want to go down to the lower dose and am super anxious doing it.
