I am on Remicade. I was not responding as well. We have had me on mono therapy, then added methotrexate, I started responding better, methotrexate made me ill.for 48 hours after I took it so we stopped the methotrexate, my response went down again so we had to add it back in. I now take methotrexate on Friday evenings so my next week is not impacted. Infusions we're at 8, then 6 then 4 weeks.
My trough levels were low ... At 1, and my antibodies were high. With the methotrexate they are at 4.7 and around 3 or 4 on antibodies. Vast improvement. The numbers have improved monthly. He said once my trough levels get higher I should not have any difficulty during my infusions and my response should improve even more. We will then move infusions out by a week, wait til I stabilize and move it out another week--until we are out as long as possible. We've done this several times since 2015.
On the other questions, I haven't had any issues getting my doses changed--or the frequency. And my doctor usually increases dosage or frequency before moving on.
I hope you feel better soon!
