I had my 3rd full dose of moderna in October. In November UNC tested antibodies and they were 218 (previous test 3 months after #2 vaccine was 75). I was tested again for UNC on 2/7/22 and result was 135 — which is still listed as a high result according to that test. Planning on getting my 4th dose soon. But dreading the 2-day sickness which is what happened after dose #3 (fever, chills, aches — not severe but enough to stay home with)

Daisy’s high number is probably a different test. I had similar numbers with John Hopkins test which is different from UNC’s. UNC tests for Cov2Quant IgG. John Hopkins test was SARS-CoV-2 Semi-Quantitative Total Antibody.

KS - Yes, I had a reaction to each shot. My reactions to the 2nd and 3rd shot were strongest with low grade fever, body aches and a very sore arm with a hot red welt. Fever and aches only lasted overnight and the arm hurt for about 5 days.

CCinPA - I know! I thought perhaps I had an asymptomatic case (although I am very careful, I have had to go into my office since June of 2020!). The doctor said it is just a good reaction to the vaccine.

Flowers Gal - Definitely could be a different test. Although, it did indicate that my response was very high. Anything over 50 (I believe) was considered as having a positive respons.

Thank you for all the responses. Looks like mine have gone down more than anyone else’s.

CCinPA, I’m not on any immune-suppressing medicine, just balsalizide and enemas, so I don’t think I am eligible for a fourth shot. I guess the antibody drop in the few months since the post-booster-shot test was all my body’s doing rather than medicine. I wish I knew why. I was feeling fairly well protected but now I have concerns— especially now that all safety measures and masking are being dropped everywhere. I still wear my mask whenever I am out, including in my office at work.

I saw evushield has just been approved in the UK and EU for people who cannot mount an immune response to vaccines.

I'm debating whether to pay a lab to test my antibodies. It's 3 months since i had my 4th shot and I'm not confident about my immunity.

Flowers ... the 4th shot might not affect you so much since you already have antibodies. Then again, you won't know til you get it.

Daisy ... that was definitely a different test. The UNC study test is anything over 1 means you have antibodies

MMe ... sorry I thought I saw that you were on Remi, but now I see that was Daisy. I think they will soon be opening up the 4th shot for everyone. My sister wants to get one. She thought over 65 were eligible but not yet.

poopydoop ... I'm sure the test will show you have anti bodies. No one knows what the actual numbers mean. I just know that mine have gone up each time so I feel a little safer. Yesterday I had my infusion and when I left there were some people waiting for the elevator. I wasn't in a hurry so I hung back and was going to take the next one. That one got there with 4 people already in it. I told myself I was being silly. It was a big elevator and everyone had masks. I took a chance and stayed in my corner ... and tried not to breathe lol
