Anyone restart Remicade after along time off it?

Hey guys,

So I have yet another UTI. It's been almost a year... So that's the good news. The bad is I was researching UTIs and Remicade and it states that UTIs can be a side effect of Remicade. I'm thinking of stopping the Remicade for 6 months and getting it out of my system....see how my disease does without any meds. My doctor's have always told me that would be very dangerous because of how severe my disease was/is. But...I am wondering if some if the issues could be caused by the Remicade/methotrexate.

So I was wondering if anyone stopped taking Remicade for a longer amount of time... Like 6 months... And then was able to go back on it?

My brother stopped remicade after being in remission for like a year. And then he was off all drugs for almost 10 years until he flared and went back on remicade without problems.
But my GI was very surprised by that. I know there is a concern of developing antibodies.
