How much pooping blood is normal post 3rd j pouch surgery? How long does it last? My friend had surgery and she had 27 bms in 24 hours all blood. Surgeon said she could see blood for months. Is this normal?

I didn't have that plus doesn't sound common

I almost never see blood except when it's around the time of the month
I go ~6 a day
With the colon gone they're shouldn't be blood imo

I don't see blood or go that much. What's described is worse than a bad day with UC..
Things were tough immediately following takedown, but I don't think blood was common. Going often was...

I would ask for a scope. Could be rectal cuff inflammation and can be treated with Canasa.
I wouldn’t accept the answer of waiting for things to settle down. Something doesn’t seem right.
I would go to a GI to get looked at instead of the surgeon.
