When I flared I ate well cooked and easy to digest foods -- bananas, eggs, salmon, chicken, well cooked spinach, sweet potatoes, toast, yogurt, rice. I just tried to get as much nutrition as a could without making things worse. I think it's pretty individual what everyone can tolerate when flaring. Pred should be kicking in for you soon, though my docs always started me at 40 mg and the last time I had to go up to 60 mg to get any relief.
Are you on any other meds? Pred should only be a bridge until another treatment plan can kick in.
