Prolia for osteoporosis in US

Need a quick update. People that get Prolia injections in US can you help? I am very confused on how to proceed. Endocrinologist that is not local and I had only video visits with wants me to start Prolia. He said to contact my local PCP or gyno. He said prolia gets injected in doctor's office only and will be paid by medical insurance as a bundle medication + service. So i figured it would be like my Entyvio, i just show up and get the service and it gets billed through my commercial medical insurance. I contacted my gyno but she sent the script to the pharmacy. I called the pharmacy they said it has to go to the specialty pharmacy. I called the specialty pharmacy they can not find me in the system. How is your Prolia prescribed? Does it go to the office that administer it or you bring it? Is it covered by medical or drug overage?
Looking for some information to figure out who to call and how to proceed. Thank you.

I would go with the dr I can see the easiest & not have to wait a long time to be seen. The dr orders it & once they have received it, you go get the shot.

I'm sorry that you have had such a problem getting this set up.

Regarding the storage: it needs to be stored in the fridge. I'm allowed to pick it up from the pharmacy and store it in my own fridge until my appointment, but, I'm outside the US.
