Can Rinvoq be combined with other biologics

I know that there is a warning on Rinvoq website that it should not be combined with any other JAK inhibitors, biologics or immuno-modulators. But I read in another group that some patients combine Rinvoq with Remicade, Stelara and Entivyo. I started Rinvoq loading dose 16th August and up till no improvement has happened. On the contrary, I keep getting flare ups or actually I have been in a flare up for almost a year since I had failed both Remicade and then Stelara. I take Entocort (Budesonide) 7.5 mg and for my proctitis I take Pentasa suppositories. They can't control my symptoms especially that I'm a Crohn's patient. I'm in constant pain. Was wondering if anyone here had combined Rinvoq with Humira? Was thinking of asking my GI to do this given that I feel that I only respond to anti-TNF blockers like I did with Remicade.

Minnie, we have a couple of members on Rinvog & Stelara & they are in remission. I have not read about anyone adding Humira to the mix. Since you had such a reaction to Remicade, I would be somewhat skeptical of Humira since they work the same way.

What dosage of Rinvog are you on?

I’m still on the 45 mg of Rinvoq. This is the second month. Still have more than 5 weeks to finish the loading dose. Unfortunately, I don’t have any other options other than Humira and Entivyo. You do have a point that Humira might cause allergic reactions as Remicade did. Will check with my GI but I’m sure I need something else along with Rinvoq. It can’t do any tricks alone.

Iam sorry you are in so much pain!
I don't know about combining biologics. I have also been wondering about that for myself too actually. Because I failed Entyvio within 18 months, and then Rinvoq within 6 months. So I seem to have burnt through them rather quickly.
Since you have Crohns, and there is more evidence for certain diets to help with Crohns, I was wondering if you tried the CDED? Crohns Disease Exclusion Diet? it is fairly new, it came out officially in ~2020. And studies show is is effective for up to 80% of patients, adults and pediatrics, with new or old diagnosis. Just thought to put this out there in case you weren't aware. Obviously it would be easier if the med kicks in but if it doesn't, then maybe this is something else to try.

Any chance you get get on Ivig? You can combine that with biologics.
